Pennyroyal (Mentha Pulegium), perennial to zone 6 through 9 otherwise grown as an annual, is in the mint family and will spread by leaf nodes laying on the ground. It will sprout roots there and make a 'new' plant. It develops purple flowers mid to late summer. It grows 8 to 12 inches tall and likes full sun to part shade. The seed may be started either indoors, six to eight weeks before your last frost, or sprinkle them early spring outdoors. The seed needs light to germinate so press seed onto moist soil and keep moist until it germinates in 6 to 14 days. 50 seeds per pkg.
